This is a panorama I took while standing in the middle of a roundabout, made from 37 individual iphone camera photos and then stitched together in the autostitch app.
A photo a day by Alex Moorehead, all the way through the year 2011 All photos in the project will be taken and processed using an iphone.
Day 89
Taken on the esplanade in Seaton using the pro hdr app to capture the vibrant color of the beach huts that have been put in place ready for holiday makers to use in the run up and during the summer.
Day 88
Todays photo is of components of a model f1 car front wing that I got free with a magazine yesterday, I then photographed them using the camerabag app using the built in fisheye filter.
Day 87
Taken using the Hipstamatic app and the 'John S' lens and 'claunch' film, this is a black and white photo of the former Debenhams department store building in Exeter, it is currently being refurbished and rebuilt to accommodate a John Lewis at home department store in October 2011. Though the past few days have seen work stop on site, due to asbestos being discovered within the building.
Day 86
I spotted this earlier in the day while in the car, so later went along with my iphone to check it out in person. It was in rather a weird place as the road there is straight with no junctions around, so how it managed to crash at a right angle with the road is beyond me. Maybe they saw the arrows in the background pointing to the right and turned right before the road veered off in that direction. Or maybe it was the face that the night before was a Saturday and someone was driving it under the influence of alcohol, even still getting it very wrong.
Day 85
Taken of one of my SLR cameras up against a window in the house, where all of the light was being let in, using the shakeitphoto app for the polaroid effect.
Day 84
Taken of the back of a can of relentless energy drink, to keep me awake for the Australian gp qualifying in the morning. I then processed the photo in the pic grunger app to generate the streaks at the sides on the top, with the yellow tint added in the camerabag app.
Day 83
A slightly interesting photo today. This is made of just one photo in which I was looking up a flight of escalators. I then processed the photo in the free tiny planets app which creates effects like this one, which is some cases, distort the image beyond recognition, but in a fun way.
Day 82
Todays photo was again taken using the hipstamatic app, while I was down the sweets aisle of a shop, with all of the sweets packaged and displayed neatly on the shelves.
Day 80
Taken on the Underground in London, just as the doors on the train I was in had opened and passengers were getting on and off. You also see the person on the right reading the free morning newspaper, which will undoubtedly have joined the thousands of others that get dumped on seats when finished with.
Day 79
Taken using the hipstamatic app, this photo is taken in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace in Surrey.
Day 78
This photo was taken in another station in London, this time St Pancras International, of the kiss statue which I captured using the pro hdr app.
Day 77
This photo was taken when I got to Waterloo station in London, where I used the 360 pano app to make a globe panorama of the concourse of the station, with this being the result.
Day 76
This photo was taken on the path down to the beach at Seaton hole in East Devon. The path used to go further forward than it does in the photo, but several years ago, a big landslide from the cliff cut the path off.
Day 75
This photo was taken as the sun was just about to dissapear below the cliff I was on. I took the photo using the pro hdr app, in order to get the right tones etc and then gave it the grunge effect in the idarkroom app.
Day 74
The photo below is an iphone photo of the screen of my nikon d40x as I was looking at a photo of the moon that I had taken on the d40x, I then added a border to the photo in the photoshop express app.
Day 73
The photo for day 73 was taken using the new free hipstamatic app lens, it was taken on a hazy afternoon as the sun was sinking below the clouds.
Day 72
This fairly simple photo, was taken today in the bright sunshine of the fence at the regeneration area in Seaton, Devon. What I liked about it were the added details in the tree shadows on the fence and also the clouds breaking up the continued blue in the sky.
Day 71
This photo was taken with my iphone in reaction to a photo similar that I saw in a magazine I was reading of lego bricks and 3 watches on top of them. Once I had taken the original photo with the basic iphone camera. I decided to use the tiffen photo fx app to remove the slight yellow tint off of the lego bricks and just leave the golden tones of the watch to stand out.
Day 70
This photo was taken in the evening looking into a green glass bottle, with the shaper of it, mixed with the light, creating some interesting reflections and details. I processed the photo in the camerabag app.
Day 69
Today, I took quite a lot of photos using the iphone, but out of them all, this one is a scene that I might not be able to capture again. It shows the outlines of the Woolworths sign, which was what traded here until the end of 2008. Then until a few weeks ago, it was replaced by a carpet shop, that was inappropriate, no one used it and it closed down. The sign for that was taken down leaving what is in the image now.
Day 68
This is a photo that I had planned for the previous day, but bad weather prevented me from doing so, so I did it today instead. I went onto the cliff at Beer Head close to where I live, about 15 minutes before sunset and used the pro hdr app to capture it on my iphone 3gs. In the photo, I had to move around a bit so that the sun was setting behind the watch tower, which prevents flare in the photo and allows you to admire the beauty of the clouds and trails in the sky and also the colors in the photo.
Day 67
Today was pancake day for 2011, so I decided to have pancakes and wrap them around Mars Bars which were then put in the microwave for a few seconds to soften them up. You may notice around the outside of the pancake, I had also dripped maple syrup to give it the style of presentation you would get from the top chefs and restaurants that are often featured on the television. The vignette effect was created in the camerabag app.
Day 66
This photo was taken on Beer beach at low tide, where all of the rocks were exposed. I took the image with the vint b&w app and then added the border in the Lo-mob app.
Day 65
This is the 65th photo of the project, which means there is now only 299 to go! It is a square format photo with some editing in the updated Pictureshow app, that I took on the beach of the eroded cliffs and the boulders that are supposed to break waves at the bottom of them.
Day 64
This photo was a self portrait at night looking towards a mirror in the house. I used the Hipstamatic app with the John S Lens and one of the black and white filters.
Day 63
This photo was taken using the shakeitphoto app looking up at the cliffs at Seaton Hole. Over the years there has been lots of small landslides, which explains why uprooted trees etc. are halfway down the cliff. The boulders at the bottom were put in a few years back to try and minimize the erosion on the cliffs.
