Day 59

Todays iphone photo is of a sketch I did today of F1 driver Nick Heidfeld. I then processed the iphone image in the Idarkroom app that I have downloaded only recently.

Day 58

This photo was taken late in the afternoon, as the sun was low in the sky, creating long shadows on the landscape, and the shaft of sunlight cast across the field in the foreground. The scene showing indications that spring is starting to get going.

Day 57

Just a normal photo today, of the computer screen on my laptop, watching some of the rugby that was on at the time.

Day 56

This is a toy doll that has been left outside for a few months, exposed to the elements. The weathering on the eyes especially make it look rather haunting and the peeling effect was infact added using the idarkroom app for the iphone.

Day 55

This photo was taken by the beach in Seaton, where a lorry was parked, probably from the regeneration site nearby. To add spice to the photo, i processed it in the camerabag app and just kept choosing random options, until one came up which I liked.

Day 54

For todays, photo, i used the pro hdr iphone app and created a simple composition of the road, pavement, fence and sky, with the digger on the site behind, just breaking the flow up a little bit.

Day 53

Todays image was taken in a shopping centre, where i used the tiltshiftgenerator app to alter the focus and the colors and contrast of the original iphone photo, to get this result.

Day 52

Taken using the action sampler built into the free version of the Lomolomo app as I was sitting in the passenger seat of the car traveling along a quiet road.

Day 51

Taken using the default camera app on the iphone 3gs of a fragment of the Berlin Wall which is in Beer, Devon, England. I then turned it to black and white with a slight vignette in the swankolab app.

Day 50

Todays photo, is of part of an old newspaper that has braved the weather on top of a bin lid. I have then processed it in the pic grunger app to make it look even more rough and ragged.

Day 49

Taken in the morning from the passenger seat of a car, where it was very foggy outside. I was just testing the black and white filter of a free app called lomolomo out and came out with this atmospheric image of the fog going through the trees with the car disappearing into the distance.

Day 48

Taken using my iphone midway through a jog, where you can see one of my legs crossing road markings with the headphone cable out of focus in the foreground.

Day 47

This is a scene that I have walked past loads and loads of times and it has always caught my eye for some reason. Maybe its the old bike and water pump in the centre of the frame, so for todays photo, I took a photo of the scene using the shakeitphoto app. I then processed the image in the photoshop express app to finish it off.

Day 46

This iphone photo was taken while the tide was in and the weather was stormy on Seaton beach. The waves were crashing against the cliffs and rocks and the crashing back against the following incoming waves, creating another splash just before the next wave could hit shore.

Day 45

Todays photo was taken on the beach at Seaton, Devon, where a pipeline is being constructed in order to carry infill into the regeneration site in the town. The other blog I have set up which you can find from the links page of my website, is documenting the regeneration process in Seaton through the use of my photography.

Day 44

The weather outside today, is pretty miserable, so I decided that the photo was going to be a self portrait of sorts, with this image of my right eye being the result. It was processed through the old photo pro and camerabag apps.

Day 43

This photo was taken using the hipstamatic app, as the morning sun shone down on some converted stables at Escot, Devon.

Day 42

The last couple of days have been really miserable and foggy, so just after darkness fell I decided to take this photo on the road outside my house, with the streetlights showing how thick the fog is.

Day 41

Today I thought i'd test the new lens that was free with an update of the Hipstamatic app. This photo was taken looking through the windscreen of the car, when it was bucketing down with rain outside, therefore distorting a lot of the image.

Day 40

The 40th photo of the project was taken of one of the houses in Beer that has been lit by one of the streetlights nearby. I took the photo using the Vint b&w app and added the texture in the Pictureshow app.

Day 39

For this photo, I got creative with the Burst Mode app on the iphone. I set the app to take 50 photos over 2 seconds, while I held the iphone handheld (hence the slight blur). Then i layered all 50 images on top of each other to create the long exposure effect with the water. With some kind of iphone tripod, this app could prove to be very good at similar shots in the future.

Day 38

Some days during this project, I will inevitably get stuck for ideas when it comes to photos for each day of the year, so today I looked around the house for something to snap with my Iphone. It just happened to be a light that I was looking up at, that became the subject I photographed. I then messed around with the colors a bit, to make the image a little different.

Day 37

This photo was quite a fun one to make, I went out into seaton, iphone at hand and turned 360 degrees with the 360 pano app active. Then once I had done that, there was the option in the app to turn the 360 degree photo into a planet like shape. These photos are things I have seen before on websites etc and I have always wanted to have a try at my own. With this app costing only 59p! I have been able to. You will probably see a few more of these style images later on in the project.

Day 36

Todays photo was taken while in a shop, looking at rows of products on shelves. Not quite the same as the famous 99 cents photo by Andreas Gursky, as i would have needed a higher viewpoint.

Day 35

Today, I stayed closer to home and just went into the village with my iphone, from where I took this photos of the fisherman's cottages, overlooking the beach in Beer.

Day 34

Taken of the impressive looking Brewers Quay Building in Weymouth, Dorset where i decided to go as I had nothing else to do today.

Day 33

Todays photo is a result of me trying out the free film that came with the latest update of the Hipstamatic app, while I was walking around Sidmouth town centre.

Day 32 (1/2/11)

The first photo of February comes as a result of me messing around with the 'burst mode' app where I took 25 photos in the space of 2 seconds when traveling along in the car, then the app merged the images to get this cool zoom effect.
